Betmar Languages uses proprietary software developed, tested and refined over a twenty-year period. This software manages and coordinates all aspects of every project we undertake.
Record Keeping
We maintain comprehensive records for our clients. Capturing the details of each project allows us to refine and improve our deliverables based on a continual learning process.
Client preferences are captured in our records for reference on future projects. Preferences may be word choices, formatting, register, words to be left in English, use of symbols, conversions and any other client requests.
Reporting and Retrieval
We are able to provide clients with specific reports generated by our records. Available reports include the status of current projects, usage reports, cost savings analysis and any other client-specified request.
All projects are archived and easily accessible for future revision or reuse.
Quality Control and Client Satisfaction
Completed projects are evaluated according to our matrix and scores are kept in our records. The effectiveness of project participants is also measured and recorded. Use of these records helps determine translation strategies for future projects.
Reviews
We offer a variety of review options for our clients. Our process includes: capturing review suggestions, reviewing them with the translator and client, and implementing them as appropriate. Types of reviews include:
- Community reviews invite members of the target community to offer input on translated material.
- In-house reviews invite employees of the company to submit their suggestions on translated material.
- Professional reviews invite members of the profession under discussion to contribute to the translation process.
- Expert reviews invite experts in the field under discussion to make suggestions to translated material.
Translation Management
We create glossaries that capture client or industry specific usage. They also reflect client preferences for terms and phrases, allowing for better translation decisions, consistency and accuracy. We also develop style guides reflecting client preferences and choices.
We use translation memory technology that stores previously translated content for reuse. Translation memory saves on costs and increases consistency.
